St. Mary's Prepared for Water Conservation

It's hard to estimate how much water the average hospital uses on any given day.
It's hard to estimate how much water the average hospital uses on any given day. But at St. Mary's they're taking the proactive approach to the conservation request from the city.

A spokesperson says they always keep a supply of bottled water ready just in case. They also have a water filtration trailer available, so there is plenty of water for all the needs at the hospital.

"We have seen better water pressure than yesterday," said Laura Forbes, "taken steps to increase pressure in critical parts of the hospital. Things seem to be headed in the right direction."

At this time St. Mary's is not under a boil advisory. But just west of the hospital, homes from S. Lombard to S. Villa Dr. along Washington are being asked to boil their water before using it.
