INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- The Indiana State Fair is looking for 500 people to help carry out this year's annual event.

The fair is hosting a job fair Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. in the agriculture and horticulture building at the fairgrounds. The available positions include ticket sellers and takers, gate supervisors, parking attendants, maintenance workers, security staff and shuttle bus staff.

Most of the jobs are temporary positions that will last during the fair's run from Aug. 2 to Aug. 18.

Fair officials say anyone in line before 7 p.m. will be interviewed.

This year's fair celebrates the "Year of Popcorn."
