Tons of Salt Used to Clear Western Kentucky Roads

In western Kentucky, officials with the Transportation Cabinet say they used nearly 8,000 tons of salt. That's about a 10th of what's been used across the commonwealth. And also about 35,000 gallons calcium chloride has been used in our area counties.

Spokesman Keith Todd says there is still plenty left for the rest of the season. But crews have already started re-stocking supplies, just in case mother nature throws any curve balls.
