Traffic Alert: ISP Plans to Shut Down Parts of U.S 41 Tuesday Afternoon

Starting at 3:15pm, more than 600 motorcycles will be exiting I-64 Eastbound at US 41 Northbound and will be stopping at the Flying J truck stop just north of the interstate.</span>
Indiana State Police say drivers can expect delays this afternoon on u.s 41 near I-64. Starting at 3:15pm, more than 600 motorcycles will be exiting I-64 Eastbound at US 41 Northbound and will be stopping at the Flying J truck stop just north of the interstate. After the motorcyclists take a 45 minute break, troopers will shut down only the southbound lanes of US 41 at Warrenton Road to allow the motorcycles to safely enter the highway. Northbound US 41 will remain open, but motorist will not be able to turn left onto Warrenton Road until all motorcycles have entered US 41. This procedure is expected to be complete by 4:15pm. The motorcyclists left California on May 15 heading to Washington D.C to the Memorial Wall. They should be in D.C this Saturday, ISP is serving as an escort through our area.
