The Kentucky and Indiana State Police accepted outdated prescription medication Saturday.
The Kentucky and Indiana State Police participated in the seventh annual National Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday.
KSP officials said the turnout showed that there is a need for the program. They collected 200 pounds of drugs. They said that's an above average amount.
The Indiana State Police reported collecting 62 pounds of prescription medication at the Evansville post.
KSP said they expect to have another drop off day sometime early next year.
