Tristate Drivers Brave Dangerous Conditions

Roads continue to be a major hazard to drivers. Officials ask you to stay off them if possible. Some people braved the conditions. Drivers share some of the troubles they faced on the roadways.

Right now some of the Tristate's busiest roadways remain hidden under inches of snow. Under all that snow, lies a dangerous layer of ice .

In conditions like these, officials highly recommend drivers stay off the streets but some still braved the weather. "The Lloyd, up to Newburgh was a mess. I guess they have been working on it a little bit, but other than that, side streets are a mess too," says Mark Lefler. He says his truck makes getting around a little easier, but run offs and accidents are happening all around. "I just saw one right out here, this guy jack-knifed a trailer," says Lefler.

If you do brave the roads during this winter storm, Lefler gives his advice. "You need a lot of patience, taking your time, and just work with everybody because it's not going to get better."
