It's already a month into the fall semester at college. As students get busy studying or involved with clubs, healthy eating often suffers. The Welborn Baptist Foundation is doing its part to help students still get the nutrients they need while on the go. They're like busy worker bees, furthering their education at the University of Evansville. It's easy to grab something quick and high in fat, but the campus says you are able to still eat good on the go. "Fortunately our dining services do a really good job, they prominently display the healthy option, tell you what you can get quickly that's really good for you, says Assistant Professor Phil Plisky. He also adds these treats can reel you in and cause unwanted pounds, "Think about that Freshmen 15, we don't wanna promote that we really want to give them he opportunity to succeed." "If you can go after things like pretzels, baked goods, baked potato chips and things like that, it's definitely a little bit better. Always, the fruits and vegetables are your healthiest option and you can't eat too many of those," Plisky says. From the dining halls to vending machines, the choices are ready and waiting. So grab a quick snack, it's all in an effort to upgrade to a better you.
