USI Hosts 12th Annual Norwegian Road March

People from 30 states traveled to Evansville to test their mental and physical stamina.

More than 500 people participated in the University of Southern Indiana's 12th annual Norwegian Road March on Saturday. Mostly military personnel from 30 states, including Alaska, traveled to the Tri-State to test their mental and physical stamina by completing the 18.6 mile march with 25 pounds on their back.

Organizers say women are given five hours and 15 minutes to complete the march. Men are given about four and half hours.

Organizers say they're hoping for an even larger turnout next year.
