Vanderburgh Co. Jail on Lockdown due to Lack of Water

Because of the lack of water pressure, the Vanderburgh County Jail is on lockdown tonight.

Inmates are not allowed to leave their cells and are unable to flush the toilets. That means many of them are going to the bathroom in boxes.

The problem started at 4 p.m. today. A lieutenant in the jail tells Eyewitness News they will continue to be on lockdown until full water pressure is restored.
