Wacha Shines Again as Cards Go Up 2-0

The Cardinals now lead Don Mattingly's Dodgers 2-0 in the NLCS.
Eyewitness made the trip to St. Louis for game two of the NLCS, yet another heartbreaker for Evansville Native Don Mattingly, the Dodgers Manager.
Twenty two year old Michael Wacha pitched another postseason gem as the Cardinals held on 1-0.  Wacha didn't get much offensive help, only two hits, but the Cardinals scored an unearned run in the 6th on a sacrifice fly from Jon Jay. Trevor Rosenthal blanked the Dodgers with fastballs in the 9th inning to put the game away.

Los Angeles couldn't get timely hitting for the second straight game. Sensational rookie Yasiel Puig is 0-10 with six strikeouts so far in the series, and heavy-hitting shortstop Hanley Ramirez sat out Game Two with a rib injury he sustained when he was hit by a pitch in Game One.

The series shifts back to the West Coast for Game Three with a pitching matchup that heavily favors the Cardinals. Adam Wainwright, who has also pitched wonderfully so far this postseason, will be going against Hyun-jin Ryu for the Dodgers.  The rookie Ryu has struggled immensely in the postseason, with an ERA of 12.00 (not a typo) in one start against the Braves in the NLDS.
