Water Receding as Crews Search for Missing Woman

Day five of searching for a potential drowning victim in Pike County, but still no signs of Catie McGill.
Day five of searching for a potential drowning victim in Pike County, but still no signs of Catie McGill. Most of the high water has receded, and crews are conducting the search mostly now on foot.

One problem that's come up is the flood waters collected mounds of corn stalks, so crews are having to dig through the debris by hand. The weather though has been alright so far.

"Our guys have held up pretty good," said Indiana Conservation Officer Joe Haywood. "The weather we're about to get, we might have to suspend search efforts for a few days, we got some really nasty stuff coming in. But so far, our guys have done well."

McGill and her husband were swept away Sunday morning. Hunters rescued the husband, and the couple's truck was found earlier this week.
