The Bosse Bulldogs are heading up to Fort Branch with a powerful offense with speed all over the field. The Gibson Southern Titans also sport an impressive attack, but they also play some good defense. The Titans are holding opponents to a fifteen points per game. Both teams are in the top ten in the state in scoring offense in class three-A.
The Reitz Panthers' only loss since week three came in the Battle for the West Side Nut Club trophy to Mater Dei 16-14. The Panthers offense has been potent, but the Jasper defense has been strong all year. The Wildcats are only giving up around 13 points per game, and scoring nearly 40 per contest. The points differential puts Jasper at number six in the state in class four-A.
The Mater Dei Wildcats and Southridge Raiders have been on a collision course all year. Southridge goes into the sectional championship with only two losses on the year, but they have been tested so far in the playoffs with close wins over Tell City and North Posey. Undefeated and number one ranked Mater Dei's toughest test was the aforementioned contest with the Reitz Panthers. Mater Dei struggled early on the road at Sullivan, but still pulled away for a fifteen point win 35-20.
