Representatives from the city, as well as private clubs and taverns, voiced their concerns over the River City's smoking ban, which prohibits smoking in all private and public organizations except Tropicana Evansville.
We sat down with one of the many places that say they have been negatively affected by the ban. Evansville Army Veteran Bob Bidwell told us, "This is an environment that's for veterans and your private clubs are the same way, it's for the members. If the members don't have a problem with it, nobody else should have a problem with it either."
Officials with VFW post 2593 on Pollack Avenue say the ban almost forced them to close their doors because of revenue loss.
Later on Eyewitness News, Tabnie Dozier brings us more from veterans as they listened in on the Indianapolis hearing.
