Wintry Weather Creating Potholes in Evansville Roads

Tackling potholes is an ongoing battle any time of the year, but especially in the Winter when the freezing temperatures take a toll on the roads.

We've all either hit one or dodged a pothole. And if you hit one, you know how expensive it can be to repair a tire or even a bent rim.

Evansville drivers aren't the only ones dealing with the rough roads. But we spoke the executive director of Transportation Services about the number of big holes out there right now. He says if you see one, report it.

"This is the time of year," said Todd Robertson. "It's a year where the freezing/thawing ground, elevates patches. They're more succeptible for a pothole to develop. So, if someone sees one, feel free to call in as normal. And we'll try to do those because we try to do those year round."

The number to call to report a pothole in Evansville is 435-6000. If you call after hours, leave a message with the location of the problem.
