CADIZ, Ky. (AP) -- A grand jury has charged a western Kentucky man with a slaying 5 years ago in Trigg County.
Seth Hooks is scheduled to appear in court October 9th. He's charged with fatally shooting Harvey Choat at his home in 2008.
The case had become cold when a tip delivered to the Trigg County Sheriff's Department on September 3rd led to Hooks as the possible shooter. State police interviewed Hooks in the Daviess County Jail where he was being held on robbery and wanton endangerment charges stemming from an Owensboro bank robbery on August 30th.
Hooks pleaded not guilty in Trigg District Court.
Hooks remains in the Daviess County Jail, where he still faces the Owensboro charges.
