HOWEVER...THE EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING FOR SOUTHERN ILLINOIS AND THE HEAT ADVISORY FOR THE PENNYRILE REGION OF WEST KENTUCKY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT SUNDAY. * FOR THE EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING THIS WEEKEND...THE COMBINATION OF HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID TO UPPER 90S WILL COMBINE WITH OPPRESSIVE HUMIDITY TO PRODUCE HEAT INDICES FROM 105 TO 110 DEGREES. * A HEAT INDEX OF 105 DEGREES OR HIGHER IS CONSIDERED THE LEVEL AT WHICH THE BODY BECOMES MORE SUSCEPTIBLE TO HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT STROKE.
