
Jake Boswell joined Eyewitness News in January 2017 as an Eyewitness News Daybreak anchor.
Jake is excited to be back near his hometown of Owensboro, Kentucky covering the Tri-State.
After graduating from Apollo High School, he graduated from the School of Journalism & Broadcasting at Western Kentucky University in 2012.
Jake began his career at WBKO-TV in Bowling Green, Kentucky providing award-winning coverage on a number of stories, while also anchoring the 5:00 PM newscast.
During his time in south central Kentucky, he was twice named Best Reporter/Multimedia Journalist by the Kentucky Associated Press in 2014 and 2015.
Jake gained national recognition covering a number of high profile crimes and trials, contributing to The Nancy Grace show on multiple occasions. While at WBKO, he covered the death of 7-year-old Gabbi Doolin, for which he received an Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Nomination.
Jake is excited to be back home with his family in the Tri-State and eager to become an intricate part of the community he’s always called home.
