It’s a full circle moment for Jill Wilderman to join the Eyewitness News team as she started her career age 14 as a youth reporter in Evansville. A native of Posey County, Jill attended Southern Illinois University where she took an internship through the “Hollywood Studies” program. She interned for E! News and eventually landed a job with the number 1 daytime television show, Judge Judy. She was nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards for her work as a producer on the hit series.
After learning many aspects of production, Jill took to being back in front of the camera as an entertainment reporter. She has been featured on shows like like E! True Hollywood Story, Entertainment Tonight, The Gossip Queens and even played ‘Jill Wilderman’ on CMT’s, Nashville.
Jill spent several years in Hollywood before making a move to Nashville where she created multiple shows including Better Half for the Grand Ole Opry’sTV Network called Circle. She created & hosted over 200 episodes of Opry’s country music entertainment show, The Set List.
Jill also displays a profound passion for storytelling through her powerful documentary on the aftermath of the Route 91 Harvest Festival concert shooting in Las Vegas. Prior to that, her documentary featuring supergroup One Direction was distributed via Amazon & Netflix.
Before moving back to the Tri-state in 2020, she worked in development for NBCUniversal’s Alternative Studio.
Jill is thrilled to be close to family and back to the Tri-state where it all began.
