Shelley Kirk

Shelley returns to Eyewitness News after a two year absence working in the Evansville business community.

Shelley brings 22 years of experience in Tri-State television news to the Daybreak anchor desk. Highlights of her career include 18 years co-anchoring with Brad Byrd, reporting from the White House Oval Office, covering a local case before the U.S. Supreme Court & daily live reporting for the Habitat for Humanity housing blitzes.

Having grown up in Evansville, Shelley knows the Tri-State and believes the people who live, work and volunteer here are what make our area strong. Consequently, giving back is important to her. She serves on the boards of Easter Seals, Ronald McDonald House, and St. Mary’s Foundation. She also volunteered as co-chair of the 2014 Komen Race for the Cure. Shelley co-hosts the annual Easter Seals & Santa Clothes Club telethons. She stays active in many other local causes.

Shelley is a graduate of Purdue University, Harrison High School and Plaza Park School. She lives in Evansville with her husband, Mark Fischer, and their son, Max.
