American Legion elects Indiana state commander

INDIANAPOLIS (WEHT) – Earlier this month, The American Legion elected Allen Connelly as the Indiana state commander.

Allen is a 49-year member of the LaGrange American Legion Post 215 in the Fourth District where he as served in most all offices at the Post level.

Currently, he serves as Post Service Officer and Hoosier Boys State and Flag Education Chairman.

Allen served in the US Army from January 2, 1964 to December 11, 1965 where he was separated with the rank of Sergeant.

The American Legion is comprised of military veterans who have served during times of conflict in defense of their nation. It’s been active in Indiana since 1919.
