Master Sergeant, William Farmer, Sr., joined the army at the age of 16, 9 months before the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941.

Farmer was a member of Merrill’s Marauders in World War Two.  He also served in Korea.

In his last letter home, William said he was expecting a big attack.  The next day, Farmer was killed in action along the nakong river in korea.  It was September 1st, 1950.

Bill was only 25 years old, and left behind his wife, Marjorie and four children, including Glenda Mae.
