Specialist Trevor Pinnick, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, joined the army right out of high school and served for three years.

Tragically, Trevor paid the ultimate price.  He was killed in action in Afghanistan earlier this month.

Trevor leaves behind his wife, Martha and a daughter, Melody, as well as his parents, Tom and Nancy Pinnick, a brother, and twin sisters.

Specialist Pinnick worked as a combat engineer at Ft. Lewis in Washington state, was deployed in December of 2011, and was scheduled to be home on leave next month.
