‘Outdoor Gallery’ installed in downtown Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The Downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District (EID) and the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana installed a new “Outdoor Gallery” on Friday.

The current artists and works are included at the new gallery:

A Lake I Like, Kelly Hess
C Me Bloom, Jackie Pandit
Curvy Apartments, Angee Walberry
Destiny, Neil Cain
Downtown, Heather Vaught
Over the Bridge, Jonathan Hittner
Unsinkable Dragon II, Greg Potter
Waiting for Red, Ryan McKain

Currently, the future use and design of the former privately-owned park at Fourth and Main is being considered.

“We hope to see announcements soon regarding the space, and other nearby parcels,” said EID President Josh Armstrong. “We thought we could take advantage of the space in the meanwhile to add color and art to the corner.”
