Andrew Horning is officially announcing his campaign for US Congress in Indiana’s 8th District.
Horning was nominated and affirmed by the Libertarian Party of Indiana at its state convention on April 23.
Horning says, “I’m running because I see signs that voters are sick of all the tainted money buying both elections and policy. I’m betting that voters finally want to put their government back on a leash.”
Horning will face off in the November general election against Republican incumbent Rep. Larry Bucshon and the winner of the Democratic primary contest between Ron Drake or David Orentlicher.
Drake currently leads by 64 votes according to the Indiana Secretary of State’s website.
However, results are not official until all county results are finalized, and those results are due by May 17.
