BOONVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Tuesday, a special election will be held in Warrick County.

A judge ordered the special election in the Democratic Primary for the District 4 Boonville City Council seat.

The order came after Chad Pryor, who lost to Steven Byers, found several errors in the election process that includes some people who voted in the wrong district.

The special election is expected to cost more than $10,000.

State law requires candidates who ask for a recount could pay $100 per precinct.

Since this is a special election, officials are trying to figure out who is responsible for picking up the tab.
