Biggest Hoosier midterm voter turn out in decades

Hoosiers hit the polls in bigger numbers for this year's midterm elections.

Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson says 51 percent of Indiana's registered voters cast a ballot in November's election. Lawson says that marks the highest midterm turnout in more than 20 years.

Indiana has about 4.5 million registered voters, and around 2.3 million cast a ballot. Lawson says 32 percent of voters cast a ballot early, which is double the percentage of 2014.
