Evansville City Councilman Dan McGinn is not seeking re-election next year, according to our media partner the Evansville Courier & Press.
McGinn’s announcement follows a similar announcement from Evansville City Councilman H. Dan Adams.
McGinn, an Independent, and Adams, a Democrat, will both not be seeking re-election – meaning two seats will be filled by fresh faces in the 2019 general election.
McGinn told the Courier & Press he is still thinking about what to do after leaving office, but he’s excited to spend more time with family and to take care of his 50-acre property in Spencer County.
