Levco doesn't anticipate running for prosecutor again
Vanderburgh County Prosecutor Nick Hermann narrowly defended his title on Tuesday night, fighting off a challenge from former county prosecutor Stan Levco.
Eyewitness News spoke with Hermann, a Republican, on Wednesday morning.
“We’re not going to be dismissing cases on the eve of trial because we’re worried about a conviction rate. We’re going to track cases where we have the evidence that we feel is adequate to present to the jury and let them make a decision,” Hermann told us.
Eyewitness News also caught up with Levco, a Democrat, on Wednesday afternoon.
“As it got closer, I thought I had a decent shot. I never thought I would probably win, but I thought I had a decent shot to win,” Levco said.
Levco said he doesn’t anticipate the possibility of running for prosecutor again.
