EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT)- The United Way of Southwestern Indiana has decided to suspend some tax assistance programs at least until March 30 due to concerns over the coronavirus.

The “Super Saturday” event scheduled for Saturday at Crossroads Christian Church has been canceled while there would be no walk-in services Tuesday and Thursday evenings at WorkOne in Evansville nor walk-in services at Tri-Cap in Boonville or on Wednesday evenings at the United Way of Southwestern Indiana in Evansville.

However, they will still offer services by appointment only at the Legal Aid Society at the Evansville Civic Center and via drop-off at the United Way of Southwestern Indiana, Monday-Friday from 9 AM until 1 PM. The Christian Resource Center in Rockport will also have dropoff services Monday-Friday from 10 AM to 12 PM and from 1 PM until 3 PM.

Right now, there are not any confirmed cases of coronavirus in our Tri-State area.
