The Mater Dei Wildcats advance to the IHSAA State Championship Game at Lucas Oil Stadium after going on the road to beat Monrovia.  Sophomore Kurtis Wilderman was extremely efficient, finishing 12-14 for 225 yards passing. He added a pair of rushing touchdowns as well. Drayke Richardt led Mater Dei on the ground compiling 98 yards on 18 carries. He caught five passes for 70 yards, as well.

        The number one ranked team in Class 2A moves to 14-0 on the season. The 2A state title game against Rensselaer is scheduled for 11:00am CST Friday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

        Heritage Hills couldn’t find enough offense to topple Tri-West Hendricks. The Bruins took a 14-0 lead into halftime and its defense proved stout enough to keep the Patriots out of the end zone.  Heritage Hills would score on a short touchdown run by Sean Schaefer late in the fourth quarter, but a missed extra point left the final score at 14-6 Tri-West.         It was a long day for the Mount Carmel Golden Aces on the road in Williamsville, IL.  The Bullets entered the game at a perfect 12-0 and improved that record to 13-0 by days end.  Darren Peach’s team couldn’t find the end zone until the fourth quarter but the game was already out of reach.  The final score ended 42-8. Mt. Carmel finished the season with a 10-3 record.
