CHICAGO (WEHT)- The state of Illinois confirmed 296 new COVID-19 cases, including one involving an infant, and three deaths from the virus Sunday. This puts the Illinois state total at more than 1,000 cases.

The state is asking people to help in any way they can, including donating personal protective equipment, like masks for medical personnel. The news comes a day after a stay-at-home order was placed across the state.
