Kentucky twins found safe after amber alert

UPDATE 3-26-19: According to Kentucky State Police, the girls were found safe. Their mother was taken into custody.

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. (WEHT) – A statewide amber alert has been issued in Kentucky. Kentucky State Police are looking for two seven-year-old twin girls, Isabella and Audriana Blanchard from Russellville. That is south of Bowling Green.

KSP says the girls were living with their grandmother who is their legal guardian.

Police say the girls’ mother, Neely Blanchard, picked them up Friday and took them to a friend’s home in Dawson Springs.

That friend says Blanchard nor the girls have been seen since Monday.

Neely has a history of mental illness.
