LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WEHT)-Kentucky Health Collaborative launched a lung cancer screening that can detect the disease in its early stages.
The organization has teamed up with local hospitals including Owensboro health to decrease lung cancer mortality rates.
Physicians at Owensboro Health said they are honored to be apart of a groundbreaking initiative.
Lung cancer is the most common cancer worldwide and kills more people than breast, colon, and prostate cancer combined. More than 150 Kentuckians may be eligible for a lung cancer screening.
