Kentucky voter ID bill awaits House vote

Kentucky News

KENTUCKY (WEHT)-The Kentucky State House could vote soon on the much-debated voter ID bill.

It requires voters to show a government-issued ID before they can cast a ballot.

The Senate approved the bill last month and a house committee voted for it last week.

Critics said it could suppress voter turnout among some groups and object to it taking effect for this November’s election if it becomes law.
