Owensboro man arrested after fleeing police with stolen vehicle

DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – The Daviess County Sherrifs Office arrested Jacob Cameron, 25, on multiple charges in Owensboro on Tuesday morning.

Police located Cameron driving a vehicle that had been reported stolen, and after initiating a traffic stop, Cameron fled. After a short police pursuit, the stolen vehicle went off the roadway and struck a tree. The driver then fled on foot but was discovered by the officer and an OPD K9’s assistance.

Cameron was arrested on multiple charges, including fleeing/evading police, receiving stolen property, driving under the influence, driving on a DUI suspended license, reckless driving, criminal mischief 1st degree, and criminal trespassing 3rd degree.
