A proposed bill in Indiana may require children on bicycles to wear helmets

Local

(WEHT)- A proposal under consideration in the Indiana General Assembly would require anyone under 18 years of age to wear a helmet if they are riding a bicycle, skateboard, inline skates or non-motorized scooters on public property.

The House public safety committee heard testimony on the bill Tuesday but it took no vote.

The Kentucky General Assembly is considering a similar bill.
