HENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – Four years after Shane Breedlove’s murder, his family is carrying on his memory with a benefit concert Saturday. There was live music, a cornhole tournament, BBQ and ice cream treats.
Breedlove was gunned down while walking to work at Washington Square Mall. His murder is still unsolved.
All of the money raised goes to the Shane Breedlove Foundation, which gives scholarships to music students at Henderson County High School.
“For me, it’s totally mixed emotions because I’m so thrilled to see people still wanting to support Shane and, you know, still remembering him after four years. But it’s a little bitter sweet also as the mother. It’s difficult,” said Carole Cleveland.
The concert was also in memory of Blake Crews and Chloe Randolph. Crews was found shot to death in 2015 at a home in Henderson where he’d been house-sitting. Chloe Randolph was killed this year. Her husband was arrested for her murder.
