HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)– Now that Thanksgiving is over, Christmas decorations are popping up all around. Downtown Henderson is decked out with lights and cut-outs in Central Park. But on the streets, you’ll see two things. The traditional snowflakes on the lamp posts and storefronts glowing their own Christmas flare. It’s all apart of a contest. But the business owners say it’s more than that.
“A lot of the business offices decorated the outside or inside of the offices as well. So when you come downtown at night it’s just lit up. so that’s what we want,” Wanda Sauer says.
The businesses will be judged tonight on their displays inside and outside their stores.
