Henderson County Schools superintendent announces retirement

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The lead educator for Henderson County Schools is stepping down.

Superintendent Marganna Stanely said she’s retiring after six years on the job. Her last day is June 13.

She started as a teacher in Henderson County Schools 30 years ago. Stanley said she’s proud of the accomplishments of the students and her time.

The board will start the search for a new superintendent, and Stanley hopes a new superintendent is named before the start of the next school year.
