EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – It’s likely someone has asked you to please vote, but one poll judge continues to go the extra mile to get you to show up.

Meet Lady Liberty who is hanging out at Washington Square Mall. She’s actually Jan Rhodes of Jan’s Fashions and Costumes.

She says she wanted to be more patriotic and wear red white, and blue instead of a green dress.

And yes, she does have a torch, but said her arm would get tired holding it up all day.

“I’m trying to get people to come in and vote. That’s the main thing. Get in here and vote.”

“What is it about this country that you love so much?”

“The freedom to pick our leaders, which a lot of countries can’t.”

This isn’t the first time Jan has dressed up.

You may have seen her during the May primaries dressed up as “Aunt Samantha.”
