Marko’s Grill closed Saturday after fire


UNION COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – A Union County restaurant is closed Saturday after an early morning fire.
According to a Facebook post from an owner, Marko’s Grill was forced to close its doors today.
Dispatch received a call around midnight reporting heavy smoke.
Several fire agencies responded to the scene.
They were on the scene for hours trying to fight that fire that had gotten into a crawl space.
Firefighters used thermal cameras to help out.
After 5 hours they were able to put that fire out.
Fire fighters believe it was caused by the high heat conditions.
