The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office says seven people were arrested on drug charges on Sunday in Earlington.
Around 2:10 p.m., a deputy saw a male and female outside of a residence in the 400 block of Fugate St.
The deputy says when the two people saw his marked car, the woman attempted to flee and the man tried to discard something.
The deputy attempted to stop the two, and later found Seth Montgomery to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Several people inside the residence were found in the residence, and one of them was in possession of crystal methamphetamine, according to the deputy.
After applying for and being granted a search warrant of the residence, deputies and police officers found a large amount of crystal methamphetamine.
Currency and other drug paraphernalia was also found, according to the sheriff’s office.
Everyone at the residence was arrested and lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
Those arrested include Brandon Brewer of Hopkinsville, April Corbitt of Mortons Gap, Seth Montgomery of St. Charles, Christopher Hill of Nortonville, Christina Hill of Nortonville, Justin Cardwell of Nortonville, and Charles Cowan of Nortonville.
All face charges of trafficking a controlled substance.
