Traffic Stop Leads to Narcotics Arrests

A traffic stop leaves two behind bars and facing a number of drug charges.

Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office tells Eyewitness News a deputy pulled over a car after he reportedly saw it run a stop sign and swerve on the road around 7:30 Tuesday night.

Investigators say Amanda Isaac, 34, and Brandon Smith, 39, were traveling on Covert Ave. near Fuquay Rd. when the deputy made the stop.

Officials tell us after the deputy found that Smith was wanted on a felony warrant and Isaac’s driver’s license was suspended, he called a tow truck to pick up the vehicle and took Smith into custody.

The deputy then reportedly found meth, four used syringes, Oxycodone, and legend drugs inside the car and a legend drug in Smith’s pants pocket.

Both were taken into custody. The sheriff’s office says Isaac and Smith each face a number of narcotics charges.
