Owensboro Police identify teen injured in shooting


OWENSBORO, Ky (WEHT) – Owensboro Police have released the name of the teen who was injured in a shooting Sunday.

Owensboro Police officers responded to the 400 block of Center Street, where they found 18-year-old Timothy Wharton-Collier with one gunshot wound.

Wharton-Collier was taken to the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital with what is believed right now to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers determined that the shooting actually happened in the 500 block of Triplett Street.

The investigation is underway right now and anyone with information is asked to contact Owensboro Police.
