Parade in Evansville will honor veterans

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A parade in Evansville is honoring veterans.

The Four Freedoms Veteran Parade will be along West Franklin Street on Saturday afternoon.

Each year community members line up to honor our veterans for their service in the military.

Chair of the event Gary Hisel says this is something veterans appreciate every year.

“For a lot of veterans in this parade they just appreciate everybody coming out and saying thanks because like I said a lot of them thanks didn’t happen, they didn’t have a welcome home.”

Hisel says they expect over 400 veterans to be in the parade. Registration begins at 10:30AM on Nov. 9th in the parking lot.
