Truck crashes through home on city’s north side

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A pickup truck crashes through a home on the city’s north side. It happened Tuesday morning in the 4600 block of Kratzville Road.

Police say a man driving a white pickup ran off the side of the road, went into an embankment and hit a car in a driveway, eventually hitting a homeowner’s garage.

The homeowner, Robert Laubscher, says he was finishing up landscaping at the time of the crash.

“There was a tree here that I had took out uhh last fall, but I was working this and I just finished using the tiller and so the good lord just took it out for me (laughter).”

The man in the white pickup who hit Laubscher’s house was cited for reckless driving.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A late morning accident ends with no serious injuries, but some serious damage to a Northside home.

The accident occurred around 10:30 Tuesday morning in the 4600 block of Kratzville Road in Evansville.

Police say a man driving on Kratzville Rd. ran off the side of the road, hit some gravel, fishtailed, went down an embankment, hit a car in a driveway, and then ran through the home owner’s garage.

The man was cited for reckless driving.
