Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles made a stop in Henderson Thursday morning to promote Ag Tag donations.
The Ag Tag is a $10 donation you have the option to give while renewing a farm vehicle license plate.
Quarles says the donation gives back to the Kentucky farming community by paving the way for generations of farmers to come.
It helps fund programs like 4-H and FFA.
Ryan Quarles says, “95% of our farms are owned and operated by families and it’s important that at a young age, we help support people in 4-H and FFA to help them discover their dreams and passions about agriculture.”
In 2015 alone, Ag Tag donations generated more than $500,000 for farming education programs.
