Amended Daviess County anti-discrimination ordinance released

DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – A draft of the anti-discrimination ordinance in Daviess County amended by the county attorney was released to the public Tuesday.

The Daviess County Fiscal Court posted the 10-page document on Facebook.

The ordinance extends protections from discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, race and religion.

The ordinance addresses housing, public accommodations and employment.

The next public forum is this Thursday at 6:30 at the Owensboro Community and Technical College.
