American Academy of Pediatrics offers pool season safety guidelines

It’s almost time to open the swimming pools back up and remembering to do so safely is key.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recently published updated guidelines on swimming safety.

They recommend children start swimming lessons as soon as they turn one.

They also recommend having a perimeter around pools that is at least four feet high, in addition to life jackets, close adult supervision, and lifeguards.

All adults should learn CPR.

With summer around the corner, keep these tips for swim safety in mind so everyone can have a safe and fun time.
