Ameriqual receives state manufacturing champion award

VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – Ameriqual has received a state manufacturing champion award for its achievements and contributions to the industry.

This was part of the Indiana Manufacturers Association’s 2019 Hall of Fame Luncheon on Tuesday.

Officials with Ameriqual say the award represents the company’s commitment to serving the community and strengthening partnerships in Evansville, in the state and around the globe.

The manufacturing company received the award, in part, due to its partnership with the EVSC’s RAMP program. It’s a first-of-its-kind work program in Indiana that embeds students on-site at Ameriqual.

Through the program, student become part of Ameriqual’s workforce, working four hours each day at the facility and then attending classes.

Manufacturing continues to be the number one job creator in Indiana, employing more than 545,000 in the state.
